The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has launched the “Spectrum Surrounds Us” Awareness Campaign, aiming to introduce the concept of the radio spectrum, highlight its importance as a limited natural resource that forms the foundation of communications and technology, and its role in supporting the digital economy and enabling modern technologies that serve various vital sectors.
The campaign showcases the concept of the radio spectrum and its key uses in our daily life, such as mobile communications, the internet, broadcasting, and wireless technologies. It also highlights the spectrum’s role in enabling technical innovation and enhancing the efficiency of digital services. In addition, the campaign outlines CST’s role in managing, regulating, and enabling the use of the radio spectrum in the Kingdom, ensuring the optimal utilization of this national resource across different sectors.
This campaign is part of CST’s ongoing efforts to raise public awareness about the radio spectrum and its importance, while promoting innovative uses that develop communications and technology services and enhance their quality and sustainability.
