Zain Bahrain, a leading Bahraini provider of innovative technology solutions and digital lifestyle services, has partnered with Kerne Youth, a youth-led educational and training platform focused on knowledge-sharing and skills development, to launch the Women in Tech initiative. The initiative aims to empower women with the knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities needed to participate more actively in the AI and digital innovation sectors.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by representatives from Zain Bahrain and Kerne Youth, reflecting their shared commitment to advancing women and strengthening Bahrain’s digital talent ecosystem.
The initiative will deliver a series of online and in-person awareness and development sessions covering technology, innovation, artificial intelligence and digital skills. It will bring together female university students, young professionals, technology communities and industry specialists, providing participants with practical learning opportunities, professional insights and greater exposure to technology-related career pathways.
Through a combination of awareness sessions and the main Women in Tech event, the initiative aims to attract broad participation among women interested in technology and innovation. It will also create opportunities to collaborate with universities, women-focused professional networks, technology communities, industry speakers, and innovation partners to broaden participation and strengthen the program’s impact.
