DIGI refreshes Spanish TV app with unified home screen

DIGI has redesigned its television app in Spain, bringing linear channels and on-demand programming together on a revamped home screen.

The update follows the introduction of its video-on-demand catalogue earlier this year and is intended to simplify content discovery and navigation across television, mobile and tablet devices.

The home screen presents linear and on-demand options in distinct sections, allowing viewers to browse both through vertical scrolling. Programme information includes synopses, genres and running times, alongside labels highlighting new and recommended content.

A persistent horizontal menu replaces the previous vertical navigation, while a dedicated sports carousel provides direct access to sports channels.

DIGI said the redesign also improves the layout and movement between sections.

The updated interface is initially available on Android TV, tvOS, Samsung, LG and VIDAA devices, alongside DIGI TV’s own decoders. Deployment to other devices will follow progressively.

DIGI TV is available to the operator’s Spanish fibre customers for €7 per month, offering more than 120 channels and an on-demand catalogue of over 7,000 titles.

New television customers can also take a DIGI decoder supporting picture quality up to 4K for an additional €1.50 per month.
