CityFibre has announced that it has expanded the availability of its business FTTP broadband service to now cover its entire ready-for-service network footprint. This means businesses, small or home offices, and home workers can now get access to symmetrical products with speeds up to 2.5Gbps. Previously, symmetric business products were only available to the business postcode base, but with the rollout of 10Gbps XGS-PON across the entire network, this has now become available to residential postcodes as well. This brings the reach of these to the entire CityFibre network of 4.33 million ready-for-service addresses, according to our broadband tracking.

The business-based FTTP products also feature rapid fix times of less than eight hours, helping to improve the time to recovery if a problem is found, although any business user should, of course, consider having a backup broadband connection for times of service failure to ensure business continuity.
