DishHome to launch 200Mbps fiber internet service for residential use. The company says the offer will arrive soon as the preparations are complete.
The ISPs in Nepal are at price war after CG Net’s sensational 120Mbps affordable package. DishHome to its credit is preparing for its own in response. Backed by its recent merger with Prabhu TV, the 200Mbps fiber plan could help further strengthen its market growth in the coming days.
Sudip Acharya, Managing Director of DishHome said in a conference that all preparations are complete for the 200Mbps FTTH solution and this offer will be available for residential use as well as corporate use.
He informed that DishHome’s upcoming package will comprise 150-200Mbps for the customers with varying bandwidth demands and come at an affordable price range. Currently, DishHome fiber internet packages are available in 30, 40, 60, and 100 Mbps categories.
The Managing Director also told that DishHome will import its interent bandwidth from an Indian company. This might also mean that DishHome will finally end its reliance on Ncell for bandwidth.
Its merger with Prabhu TV has further strengthened its confidence to head for its next journey as an ISP. Besides, DishHome is also issuing a 2.4 million IPO next fiscal year to fund its investments for service expansion.
To provide a better home solution, DishHome began its fiber internet service in Kathmandu last year and has continued its expansion within and beyond. Recently, it made headlines with its affordable 25Mbps fiber internet offer for just Rs.233. But the offer was exclusive to existing DishHome customers. Additionally, only the DishHome customers with the Lifestyle HD Package were eligible to get the cost-effective FTTH solution.
200Mbps will serve as its proper statement in the growingly competitive ISP market in Nepal. This FTTH plan will be available for both residential and corporate use under various affordable price ranges.
DishHome’s fiber internet has 90% coverage within the Kathmandu valley and outside the valley, it is available in Hetauda, Itahari, and Inaruwa. It expects to roll out the fiber solution to major cities by the end of 2021.
Pressure has mounted on competing ISPs after CG wreaked havoc with an unprecedented 120Mbps fiber internet launch in Kathmandu for just Rs.999. DishHome is heading for sustainable growth with the rapid expansion of its affordable services countrywide.
