ACCENTURE, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, announced that its Global Delivery Network (GDN) for technology in the Philippines has achieved a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 rating in both CMMI for Development v1.3 and CMMI for Services v1.3.
The appraisal was performed by KPMG, one of the world’s largest professional services and auditing companies.
CMMI is a process improvement model that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at maturity level 5 indicates that the organization is performing at an “optimizing” level. At this level, an organization continually improves its processes based on a quantitative understanding of its business objectives and performance needs.
This location is the first in Accenture’s Global Delivery Network to achieve a CMMI Level 5 rating for both development and services in one appraisal.
Ambe Tierro, Accenture Technology Lead in the Philippines and South Korea, said, “The benefits of achieving CMMI Level 5 are significant because it means we are able to decrease costs, improve on-time delivery, improve productivity, improve quality, and improve customer satisfaction.
