ISP Internode has made deals with OptiComm and OPENetworks allowing it to offer residents of housing developments served by those companies the same plans that it uses for customers connected via the NBN.
More than 20 sites in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria are covered by the arrangement. But the deal doesn't apply to Point Cook and South Brisbane which are served by Telstra fibre with "uncompetitive" wholesale pricing, according to Internode product manager Jim Kellett
"The new plans are 'NBN-equivalent' in terms of speeds, quotas and prices," said Mr Kellett.
"As well as more competitive prices, we've launched the new 12/1Mbps level speed for Fibre to the Home customers and are delivering faster upload speeds with the standard services. We've also introduced the optional Power Packs and Business Packs so customers can tailor their fibre service to their particular needs."
The plans range from 12/1Mbps to 100/40Mbps, and from 30GB of data per month to 1000GB. Prices range from $49.95 to $164.95.
Internode's existing fibre customers will remain on their current plans unless they choose one of the new plans.
