Brazilian regional telecoms operator Sercomtel hopes to use satellite DTH technology to launch its first pay-TV service by August 2012. According to the company president the company is just waiting for the approval of their licence from Anatel to start offering DTH pay-TV services and that they already have the technology to deploy the service. The telco is active in the southern state of Parana where it delivers a range of fixed and mobile voice, and fixed broadband services across 16 cities.
