Deutsche Telekom adds 8,000 TV customers in Germany in Q3

Deutsche Telekom added 8,000 MagentaTV customers in Germany in the third quarter of 2026, bringing its combined IPTV and satellite subscriber base to 4.808 million at the end of September.

The figure represents an increase of 83,000 customers, or 1.8%, compared with the same period last year. However, growth remained modest on a quarterly basis, with the total rising from 4.800 million at the end of June.

The latest figures continue the positive trend reported in previous quarters. In August 2025, Deutsche Telekom had 4.698 million TV customers in Germany, following a net addition of 23,000 in the second quarter of that year.

The TV business developed alongside a broadly stable broadband customer base. Deutsche Telekom added 11,000 broadband lines in Germany during the third quarter, reaching 15.09 million. The number of customers using fibre-optic connections increased by 51,000 to 13.482 million.

Deutsche Telekom’s German business generated revenue of €6.6 billion in the third quarter, an increase of 3.9% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA AL rose by 1.5% to €2.8 billion. For the first nine months of 2026, revenue increased by 3.1% to €19.4 billion, while adjusted EBITDA AL grew by 2.2% to €8.1 billion.

At Group level, Deutsche Telekom reported revenue of €31.1 billion, up 7.5% on a reported basis and 5.5% organically. Adjusted EBITDA AL increased by 9.9% to €12.2 billion, while adjusted net profit rose by 12.7% to €3 billion.

“Our strong figures are setting benchmarks in our industry,” said Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom. “The consistently impressive results we have delivered for many years now bear testimony to the success of our strategy.”

The German telco raised its full-year 2026 guidance, reflecting higher expectations for its US subsidiary T-Mobile US. Deutsche Telekom now expects adjusted EBITDA AL of around €47.6 billion, compared with its previous forecast of €47.5 billion. Its free cash flow AL target has also increased from €20 billion to around €20.1 billion. Recurring adjusted earnings per share are still expected to reach €2.20.

Deutsche Telekom also plans to increase its dividend by 10% to €1.10 per share for the 2026 financial year and intends to buy back shares worth up to €2 billion in 2027.
