Telenet Business is the first operator in Belgium to offer businesses a mobile subscription that automatically adjusts to actual data usage.
With the new Business Mobile Dynamic subscription, companies no longer need to select a fixed data allowance for each employee in advance. Every user starts each month with a 15 GB base allowance and automatically moves to a higher 50 GB or 300 GB plan, depending on usage, with the corresponding price adjustment.
Those who use less pay less, while those who need more get additional data, without anyone having to manually change the subscription. Until now, Belgian businesses had to choose between pay-per-use plans, shared data pools or fixed data allowances, with customers having to decide when to upgrade.
A study conducted by Profacts* on behalf of Telenet Business among 300 Belgian SMEs and large enterprises found that 70% of companies offer mobile subscriptions to some or all of their employees. Among organisations with more than 50 employees, this figure rises to 96%. Most companies pay between €16 and €40 per month for each subscription. In eight out of ten companies, the employer covers the entire cost. Nevertheless, 45% of businesses do not know exactly how much data is included in their most commonly used subscription.
This lack of visibility is partly due to significant differences in data consumption. Businesses today face widely varying user profiles. A field employee who travels daily and makes video calls has very different data requirements (averaging 30–40 GB) from an administrative employee who primarily works in the office and connects to Wi-Fi (averaging 3 GB). Yet both often receive the same subscription, or their data usage is estimated in advance. As a result, companies end up paying for data they do not use, while employees may hit usage limits, leading to additional costs or operational disruption.
Business Mobile Dynamic is available to companies with six or more employees. Through the Business Mobile Portal, organisations can maintain an overview of their entire mobile fleet. They can manage subscriptions, monitor data usage and make changes through the portal. More information is available on the website.

Employees today combine office work, remote working and travel, and increasingly rely on cloud applications and video calls. As a result, their data consumption is far less predictable than it used to be. Yet many companies still base their decisions on fixed assumptions. The fact that almost half do not know how much data is included in their most commonly used subscription says a lot. With Dynamic, we turn this logic around: the subscription adapts to the employee, not the other way around.
