DFB.TV joins Deutsche Telekom’s MagentaTV platform

The German Football Association’s (DFB) dedicated football channel DFB.TV is expanding its distribution through a partnership with Deutsche Telekom, making the pay-TV service available via MagentaTV and MagentaSport.

DFB.TV is now part of Deutsche Telekom’s MagentaSport offering and is also available through the operator’s Family and Big TV packages. The agreement extends beyond distribution to advertising sales, with the partners using Dynamic Ad Substitution to give agencies and advertisers more precise audience-targeting opportunities.

“Through our partnership with Deutsche Telekom, we are further expanding DFB.TV’s reach. This makes it even easier for football fans to access a channel that showcases the sport in all its breadth,” said Bendix Eisermann, Managing Director of DFB.TV. “MagentaTV customers can look forward to special insights into the full diversity of German football.”

For Deutsche Telekom, the addition broadens its football offering beyond major tournaments and high-profile competitions.

“Football inspires millions of people through its diversity. We are now giving this diversity an even bigger stage,” said Dr Jörg Richartz, Vice President for TV Strategy and Marketing at Deutsche Telekom. “With DFB.TV, we are bringing a strong offering to MagentaTV and MagentaSport that goes far beyond the major tournaments and makes German football accessible in all its facets in one place.”

The advertising partnership centres on Dynamic Ad Substitution, which enables advertising to be adapted to different target groups. The technology is intended to help agencies and advertisers deliver campaigns more efficiently to their desired audiences.

Launched in May 2026, DFB.TV covers German football across the national teams, women’s competitions, youth football and the amateur game. Its live programming includes matches involving the junior national teams, the 2. Women’s Bundesliga, the Women’s DFB Cup, selected regional league fixtures and the annual Finaltag der Amateure. The channel also broadcasts futsal, beach soccer and the DFB ePokal.

Coverage of the senior national teams includes behind-the-scenes access to training camps, international matches and tournaments. Further programming includes documentaries, archive footage, referee-related reports, cup draws, press conferences and interviews.

Beyond MagentaTV and MagentaSport, DFB.TV is available through DAZN, HD+, Sky/WOW, Ocilion, Vodafone and Zattoo. Its DFB.TV+ app is available for iOS and Android, with subscriptions priced at €5.99 per month or €59.99 per year.
