International data centre infrastructure firm FiveNines Group says that it is partnering with AI infrastructure specialist Nexus Core Systems to oversee development of a planned 20MW AI data centre in Morocco.
FiveNines said the facility on the outskirts of Casablanca will be purpose-designed for high-density AI computing and will use the latest available semiconductors and Nvidia's Vera Rubin NVL72 Cloud Partner Reference architecture.
Under the partnership agreement, FiveNines will lead a team responsible for the project's design management, technical governance, consultant coordination, constructability and procurement strategy.
The 20MW facility – which was revealed last week – will form part of the wider 180MW AI factory to be delivered by Nexus and its international partners sometime next year under an MoU it signed with Moroccan government agencies in April 2026.
FiveNines will coordinate the early-stage project process of the 20MW facility, covering briefing, feasibility, design strategy and concept design, with the objective of preparing a coordinated design package suitable for authority engagement and permit submission, said FiveNines Group CEO Gerry Curran.
“This project will bring together our international data centre expertise with Moroccan architects, engineers, technical advisers, and relevant authorities,” said Curran in a statement. “It further demonstrates the capability of FiveNines Group to undertake critical infrastructure projects of the highest standard alongside global industry leaders.”
Bastian Remmlinger, head of infrastructure at Nexus Core Systems, said:FiveNines’ team “has supported us well as we shape the design and delivery approach for the Morocco data centre.”
