The aim of the collaboration is to provide what are known as ‘advanced anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism’ (AML/CFT) solutions powered by AI mechanisms.
Orange Money says this step reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening the security of its services while ensuring a safe and reliable fintech ecosystem, in line with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
Under this agreement, both parties will cooperate to enhance security and reliability for customers. Orange Money says it will also adopt advanced, intelligent systems for screening its users’ names against sanctions lists, assessing customer risk, and enhancing AML/CFT capabilities.
This contributes to safeguarding financial transactions and reinforcing the compliance framework in line with relevant national and international regulatory requirements and standards.
Founder and CEO of ADSTRA, Mohammad Bdair, explains that through this strategic initiative, “we are seeking to deploy ADSTRA’s technologies in AI and behavioural network analysis to improve AML/CFT capabilities. We take pride that ADSTRA is a Jordanian company capable of developing advanced financial crime prevention technologies trusted by leading financial institutions like Orange Money.”
He continues: “Our ambition is to scale this technology from Jordan to regional and global markets.”
He lkso notes that this agreement aligns with ADSTRA’s strategy to introduce a unified AI platform for combating financial crimes, combining AML/CFT, advanced analytics, and AI agents technologies aiming to help financial institutions move from simply detecting alerts to truly understanding risks, investigating them, and making faster and more effective decisions.
