Deutsche Telekom has added Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO Max streaming service to its MagentaTV platform in Germany, expanding its aggregation offering with content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC and Discovery.
HBO Max has been available in Germany since January 2026. MagentaTV customers can now subscribe to the service directly through the platform, with six booking options offering either monthly or 12-month terms. According to Telekom, customers opting for an annual subscription will benefit from a price advantage compared with monthly booking.
The addition is part of Telekom’s strategy of aggregating major streaming services on MagentaTV. The platform combines traditional television with streaming services and offers access to up to 180 TV channels, including more than 160 in HD resolution.
The HBO Max line-up includes established franchises and series such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The White Lotus and Dune: Prophecy. Warner Bros. Discovery is also highlighting the German original production 4 Blocks ZERO, which premieres on 25 September 2026 as a prequel to 4 Blocks.
Another major title is the upcoming Harry Potter series, which is due to arrive around Christmas.
