Under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Abdullah AlSwaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of CST’s Board, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing the Global Space Connectivity & Sustainability Events, in the city of Riyadh from October 12–14, 2026. The event combines the activities of the Connecting the World from the Skies Forum and the Space Sustainability Forum (SSF), in their third editions, under one umbrella.
The event brings together regulatory bodies, companies, specialists, and experts in the telecom and space fields to explore the future of satellite connectivity, enhance the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, and discuss the sector's leading directions and challenges, through sessions covering Integrated Connectivity for the 6G Era, Paving the Way to WRC-27, Unlocking the Potential of D2D Connectivity, Space Economies & Emerging Markets, Space as Critical Infrastructure, Space-Enabled Sustainability on Earth, Global Governance and Responsible Behavior in Space, and Managing Congestion, Mitigating Interference and Preventing Debris.
The event will also feature the announcement of the winners of the Non-Terrestrial Networks International Research Competition 2026, organized by the CST in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The CST invites interested specialists, researchers, and relevant parties to register and attend the event, participate in its sessions, and benefit from opportunities to exchange knowledge and expertise, and build partnerships in the fields of Telecommunications, Space, and Sustainability.
