TVUP has unveiled the ninth generation of its streaming platform, introducing AI-powered content discovery, a multi-tenant architecture and an integrated advertising platform aimed at helping operators reduce the cost of running streaming services.
The new release, which will be demonstrated at IBC2026, includes an AI recommendation engine that analyses viewing habits and interests to personalise content discovery and reduce the time viewers spend searching for programmes. The user interface has also been redesigned with new trending and ranking carousels, while an updated programme guide allows users to follow multiple channels simultaneously and access catch-up content from the previous seven days.
A key addition is a multi-tenant architecture that enables operators to manage multiple television brands from a single platform instance. Each service can maintain its own branding, subscriber base and configuration while sharing the same underlying infrastructure. TVUP said new branded services can be launched in less than a week without deploying a separate platform.
The company has also introduced an end-to-end advertising platform supporting programmatic connected TV advertising across live channels, FAST services and video on demand, alongside display advertising. TVUP said the system is designed to generate sufficient advertising revenue to offset some or all of an operator’s platform licensing and infrastructure costs.
The model has already been deployed on TVUP’s Spanish streaming service Tivify, where the company said advertising revenues from its free tier cover the cost of operating the platform.
Rubèn Miró, Chief Product Officer at TVUP, said the latest release addresses three key operator priorities: improving content discovery, simplifying the launch of new services and using advertising revenue to reduce the overall cost of operating a streaming platform.
