BCE has selected Alpha Networks’ Gecko OTT platform as a key technology component within its end-to-end media services portfolio.
The Gecko platform is being deployed as part of a customer OTT service after meeting BCE’s technical and operational requirements during an evaluation process.
Gecko provides a modular, multi-tenant architecture that allows operators to run multiple streaming services and brands from a single platform while maintaining separate configurations, content libraries, user bases, rights management and workflows.
BCE said integrating Gecko into its wider media ecosystem enables it to deliver flexible OTT services while connecting content management, infrastructure, workflows and distribution across the media supply chain. The company can also tailor overall architectures to suit different customer requirements and business models.
The platform supports live, catch-up and on-demand streaming across web, mobile and connected TV devices, alongside AVOD, SVOD, TVOD and hybrid monetisation models. Its API-driven architecture also integrates with content management, advertising, analytics, playout, CDN and identity systems.
BCE and Alpha Networks will demonstrate the integrated solution at IBC2026, with Alpha Networks exhibiting in Hall 1, Stand F72, and BCE in Hall 1, Stand C16.
