Accedo and MediaKind have launched a white-label, end-to-end streaming platform designed to help pay-TV operators launch and manage branded services across connected TVs, mobile, web and set-top boxes.
The solution combines Accedo’s native application framework and cloud-based application management tools with MediaKind’s MK.IO Platform for Operators, which provides entitlements, content management and discovery, security and video delivery.
It supports Android set-top boxes, iOS and Android mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TV and web, allowing operators to customise branding and user interfaces without developing and maintaining separate native applications for each platform.
Canadian operator Cogeco is already using the technology for its EPICO streaming service. A second operator has also committed to launch on the platform in the coming months.
The companies say the joint offering is intended to reduce implementation and engineering costs and shorten the time required to launch new services, while retaining the ability to modify the user experience and service configuration as requirements change.
Accedo and MediaKind will demonstrate the platform at IBC2026 in Amsterdam from 11-14 September.
