Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Digital Government Authority (DGA) honored success partners of the “IoT Adoption” initiative during LEAP26, in recognition to their significant contributions and active role in encouraging sectors to expand the adoption of IoT solutions, implement related initiatives, and unlock new opportunities for partnerships and technology investment.
The initiative achieved remarkable success through close collaboration among national entities and partnerships with more than 300 organizations from the public and private sectors. The number of connected IoT devices has surpassed 40 million, the total impact of these initiatives on GDP is around 17B SAR, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s leadership in adopting smart digital solutions, enabling technology markets, and driving the growth of the digital economy.
This achievement is the result of collaborative efforts among national entities to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies and develop their markets, reflecting the maturity of the Kingdom’s regulatory environment in fostering investment and innovation, supported by an advanced, resilient, and highly reliable digital infrastructure to accommodate the rapid growth in emerging technology adoption, along with strong strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors.
