DRA holds a training program on the role of digital regulation in market competition

The Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA) held a training program titled “Role of Digital Regulation in Market Competition,” in collaboration with Access Partnership. The program aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the impact of competition in digital markets, highlight how digital regulation effects the ICT sectors, and provide participants with principles and models of market competition.

The 2-days program brought together more than 40 experts in public policy, regulatory law, economics, and engineering from 14 entities across the public and private sectors, including members of the national regulations committee and service providers in the communications, space, and technology fields. It introduced participants to core economic principles of competition in digital markets, analyzed competitive dynamics in platform-based markets, assessed regulatory approaches and their effectiveness, and explored the design and assess regulatory interferences, as well as managing complex stakeholder environments.

This program is part of the DRA’s initiatives aimed at developing human capital and building capabilities in public policy and digital regulations, as well as raising overall regulatory awareness.
