The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) renewed its call for individuals and entities wishing to register Saudi domain names through its licensed registrars, coinciding with the launch of the “Saudi Domain” campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance and advantages of Saudi domain names and their role in enhancing digital identity in the Kingdom.
CST explained that Saudi domain name services rely on a trusted infrastructure that includes more than 300 distributed server copies, making it one of the largest infrastructures globally according to international standards and best practices.
The authority also reaffirmed its regulatory and supervisory role in Saudi domain registration services to ensure the protection of registrants’ rights and improve the quality of services provided through licensed registrars.
CST confirmed that the campaign targets government entities, the private sector, and individuals. Private entities and individuals can register their domains through licensed registrars, while government entities can register through the Digital Government Authority via the following link: https://nic.sa/registrars/.
The domain name is considered the primary resource of the Domain Name System (DNS) and one of the most critical components of internet infrastructure, enabling access to digital services, applications, and content.
This initiative reflects CST’s ongoing role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s communications and technology ecosystem through regulatory and guidance tools that strengthen the reliability and trustworthiness of the digital environment while promoting the adoption of national digital resources.
