“We are proud to announce that we have the largest 5G connection in the country. Our 5G network is capable of providing coverage to more than 800 customers, and this reaffirms Movistar as the leading connection provider in Venezuela,” stated Rodolfo Campa, B2C Director of Movistar Venezuela.

On average, Movistar customers with 5G-enabled mobile devices are experiencing minimal latency and up to almost 4 times faster speeds.

Movistar's 5G network is currently available in Caracas, La Guaira, Guarenas, Los Teques, Maracaibo, the eastern shore of Lake Maracaibo, Valencia, Maracay, Barquisimeto, San Cristóbal, Mérida, El Vigía, Barinas, San Fernando de Apure, Guasdualito, Valera, Anaco, and El Tigre. Work to expand coverage to new areas is ongoing.

The company has been making a sustained effort to upgrade its access network technology. Over the past year, it has also strengthened connectivity by modernizing more than 1.300 stations, resulting in substantial improvements in coverage and browsing speed, as well as in content upload and download speeds. This confirms the infrastructure's capacity to support increased user demand.
