Comcast’s Xfinity has expanded its StreamSaver offer, adding the Disney+, Hulu bundle and HBO Max alongside Peacock, Netflix and Apple TV in what it says is the largest marketplace of premium streaming bundles.
The move gives Xfinity TV and internet customers access to a wider range of streaming combinations through StreamStore, the operator’s digital storefront for apps and services, with savings of up to 45% depending on the bundle selected.
Customers can choose from 8 bundle options, combining Peacock Premium, Netflix Standard with ads, Apple TV, the Disney+, Hulu bundle with ads and HBO Max Basic with ads. Xfinity said subscribers can select packages of 3, 4 or 5 services, while also adding further apps on an a la carte basis.
The company has also upgraded StreamStore to allow customers to upgrade bundled apps to ad-free tiers, transfer existing subscriptions and manage their services in one place, either online or through X1 and Xumo devices.
Jon Gieselman, chief growth officer, connectivity and platforms at Comcast, said the updated StreamStore gives customers more control over how they build and manage their streaming line-up, while also delivering savings.
Xfinity said the expanded bundle strategy forms part of a broader push to combine streaming aggregation with its own connectivity and video services. Customers can also pair StreamSaver with Xfinity’s national video packages or add the US version of NOW TV, which offers more than 125 channels as a streaming package.
The operator added that combining StreamSaver with its broadband, mobile and video offers can generate further monthly savings compared with rival services, while features such as Multiview, RealTime4K and Fan View are intended to strengthen the viewing experience for sports and entertainment customers.
The announcement underlines Comcast’s continued efforts to position Xfinity as a central aggregation platform for both direct-to-consumer streaming services and pay-TV.
