Ethio telecom has announced the launch of its high-speed 4G LTE mobile network service across 21 cities in Ethiopia, marking a major expansion of the country’s mobile broadband infrastructure.
In a statement shared on its official Facebook page, the operator described the rollout as “good news” for customers and confirmed that users in the newly covered cities can now access faster mobile internet services through its upgraded network.
Customers with 4G-enabled SIM cards have been advised to switch their device settings to LTE/3G/2G (auto-connect) mode in order to access the service. Users experiencing difficulties are encouraged to visit the nearest service centers for support and to receive a special bundle offer.
The expansion reflects Ethio telecom’s ongoing efforts to improve nationwide connectivity and enhance digital access as demand for high-speed internet continues to grow across urban centers in Ethiopia.
