Kyivstar acquires Tabletki.ua for US$160 million to deepen digital healthcare push

Kyivstar has completed the full acquisition of Ukrainian medical digital services platform Tabletki.ua for US$160 million, strengthening the operator’s expansion into healthcare.

Parent company VEON said Tabletki.ua is used by millions of Ukrainians to search, compare and reserve medicines and nutritional products from pharmacies nationwide. The platform connects more than 14,000 pharmacies and facilitates around 14 million reservations per month in 2025.

Gross merchandise value (GMV) of bookings reached UAH45 billion (US$1.05 billion) in FY2024 and UAH57.3 billion (US$1.33 billion) for the 12 months to September 30, 2025. According to unaudited management figures, Tabletki.ua generated EBITDA of US$24 million and net profit of US$20 million over the same period.

The deal builds on Kyivstar’s 2022 acquisition of digital healthcare platform Helsi, which connects patients with doctors and clinics via a mobile app. It also forms part of a broader diversification strategy that has seen the operator expand into ride-hailing and delivery service Uklon, Kyivstar TV and its MyKyivstar super-app.

Oleksander Komarov, President of Kyivstar, said the acquisition would help make healthcare services “even more accessible and convenient” by combining Kyivstar’s digital scale with Tabletki.ua’s established market presence.

VEON Group CEO and Kyivstar Executive Chairman Kaan Terzioglu added that the transaction underlines the group’s long-term commitment to Ukraine and accelerates the development of customer-focused digital healthcare services.
