SLT-Mobitel Mobile and Fairfirst Insurance have introduced Sri Lanka’s first mobile billing-enabled motor insurance solution, allowing customers to purchase and renew motor insurance directly through their mobile connections without the need for paperwork or physical visits.
The new service integrates insurance billing into existing Mobitel accounts, enabling customers to complete transactions through a simplified, secure, and transparent digital process at any time and from any location. The launch builds on SLT-Mobitel’s existing mobile-delivered insurance offerings and reflects its strategy to expand practical digital services within its broader lifestyle ecosystem.
The initiative is designed to improve accessibility to insurance services, particularly for rural and underserved communities, by leveraging existing mobile infrastructure to reduce barriers to entry and extend financial protection to a wider population. Fairfirst Insurance supports the offering through its insurance expertise, ensuring customers receive reliable and affordable coverage through a digital-first experience.
