Vodafone IoT and Hyundai Motor Group have announced a partnership to deploy regulatory-compliant in-car connectivity services across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, expanding connected vehicle capabilities across the region.
The collaboration leverages Vodafone IoT’s Global SIM+ solution, which dynamically enables IoT SIMs to operate as local SIMs, ensuring compliance with national regulations while enabling seamless cross-border connectivity. The approach allows automakers to launch connected services more efficiently in highly regulated markets while maintaining global service continuity.
Vodafone IoT’s partnerships with local network operators, including e& UAE, support network resilience, local compliance and reliable connectivity. Through Vodafone’s managed connectivity platform, Hyundai Motor Group can manage its connected vehicle ecosystem centrally while maintaining integration with regional network infrastructure.
The partnership will enable connected features for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles in the Middle East, including remote vehicle control, real-time vehicle monitoring and enhanced digital convenience services. Both companies indicated plans to expand the deployment to additional markets across the Middle East and Africa in the future.
