Egypt will host the inaugural edition of Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) Egypt on 11–12 February 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation agenda and its ambition to strengthen its position within the global AI ecosystem.
Held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and organised by GITEX in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the summit aims to position Cairo as a regional hub for AI innovation, investment and governance dialogue.
The event will bring together more than 350 AI companies and startups from over 30 countries, showcasing applications across sectors including public services, smart cities, cybersecurity, fintech, digital payments, mobility and enterprise transformation. High-level participation is expected from ministers, international organisations and multilateral institutions including the UNDP, UNEP, World Bank and EBRD.
Discussions will focus on responsible AI development, national AI infrastructure scaling, governance frameworks and policy models required to support sustainable adoption of artificial intelligence. The summit reflects Egypt’s broader strategy to leverage AI as a driver of economic growth, competitiveness and workforce development as part of its national digital transformation roadmap.
