Samsung and OSN roll out OSNtv on Samsung Smart TVs in MENA

Samsung Electronics MENA and OSN have begun a regional rollout of OSNtv via Samsung TV Key, positioning it as the Middle East and North Africa’s first “boxless” TV experience for the service.

The integration brings OSNtv directly onto Samsung Smart TVs from 2021 models onwards, removing the need for external set-top boxes or additional cabling.

According to the companies, OSNtv on Samsung TVs offers access to more than 45 exclusive channels alongside free-to-air channels, plus over 18,000 hours of on-demand programming.

Users can activate the service from the TV interface, with discovery and navigation handled through Samsung’s One Remote.

The launch follows a partnership first announced in May 2025. To support the rollout, new Samsung Smart TV owners in participating markets will be offered complimentary OSNtv access for up to 12 months (terms apply), after which OSNtv will be available at promotional pricing in selected territories.

Speaking in the announcement, Mustafa Sadick said the tie-up is aimed at simplifying premium entertainment access through Samsung Smart TVs, while Imad El Khoury described the integration as the next step in making OSNtv easier to reach across the region.

The rollout was announced from Dubai and is described as available across MENA markets on compatible Samsung Smart TV models.

OSN still operates a direct-to-home satellite service (sold under OSNtv packages in many MENA markets), alongside its streaming products. However, it is increasingly pushing app-based options such as OSNtv integrations on smart TVs (the “boxless” Samsung experience is IP-delivered rather than satellite), while OSN+ remains the standalone subscription streaming service.
