The Digital Networks Act (DNA) envisages further harmonisation of the general authorisation regime for the provision of electronic communications networks and services that has been in place in the EU since 2002.
Key elements of the proposal are:
- a refined scope of networks and services that are subject to general authorisation;
- the single passport procedure enabling provision of services in multiple member states;
- fully harmonised general authorisation conditions;
- streamlined notification procedures and reporting requirements.
