Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has introduced an AI-powered “Smart First Aid Kit” designed to redefine how people respond to medical emergencies. The digital platform functions as both a mobile application and an interactive portal, transforming the traditional first aid box into a dynamic, intelligent system.
Powered by conversational AI, the platform provides real-time, step-by-step medical guidance, enabling bystanders to take immediate life-saving actions before paramedics arrive. Users can describe symptoms or emergency situations and receive clear, tailored instructions based on the incident.
The system supports multiple languages to serve Dubai’s diverse population of more than 200 nationalities and integrates visual and audio tools to simplify complex procedures. It also includes interactive videos and digital simulations to help non-professionals understand and perform first aid techniques.
DCAS plans to deploy the platform across schools, universities, and workplaces to support regular training and strengthen community readiness. The tool is designed to address scenarios ranging from minor household injuries to critical medical crises, focusing on the “golden minutes” when early intervention can significantly reduce risk.
Mishal Abdulkarim Julfar, CEO of Dubai Ambulance, said the initiative is rooted in the belief that community awareness is a core pillar of emergency response. He noted that the platform ensures guidance is effective, accessible, and easy to understand, aligning with global best practices in emergency care.
The launch follows other technology-driven initiatives from DCAS, including plans for facial recognition-based patient identification and AI-integrated fleet management, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in smart healthcare and public safety.
