Digital Space strengthens ransomware resilience capabilities

Digital Space has been approved for Veeam’s off site backup for ransomware resiliency competency.

The MSP said this approval reinforces its ability to support partners and end customers with advanced, enterprise grade data protection services.

Digital Space will also use this achievement to strengthen its partner proposition. Partners can work with Digital Space to incorporate resilient backup services into their own portfolios.

Richard Beeston, chief technology officer, Digital Space (pictured), said, “Achieving this Veeam competency is a strong validation of the work we do every day to build resilient, recoverable infrastructure for our partners and their customers.

“Ransomware has made off site and immutable backups essential, not optional. This capability allows us to support partners more effectively, help them upskill their teams, and give their customers confidence that their data can be protected and recovered when it matters most.”

The new competency recognises Digital Space’s capability to help partners and their customers extend their existing Veeam backup and recovery environments into secure off-site architectures.

This includes immutable cloud repositories designed to protect data from ransomware attacks, as well as migrating backups into Digital Space’s own off-site cloud infrastructure where appropriate, while maintaining UK data sovereignty.

Nick McAlister, channel director for the UK and Ireland, Veeam, added, “Digital Space’s achievement of the off-site backup for ransomware resiliency competency is a testament to its advanced technical expertise and unwavering commitment to data protection.

“With this competency, Digital Space empowers organisations to defend against ransomware and cyber threats through secure, off-site, and immutable backup solutions. Their capability to deliver resilient, recoverable architectures makes them a trusted partner for businesses seeking robust protection and peace of mind in today’s evolving threat landscape.”
