Telenor has launched Streamix, a streaming bundle that lets Norwegian customers combine multiple subscription services under a single monthly bill.
For NOK 499 (€44) a month, Streamix subscribers can pick three services from a line-up that currently includes Netflix, HBO Max, Viaplay, SkyShowtime, Apple TV, Podme and Storytel, with TV 2 Play additionally available to Telenor mobile and broadband customers. Users can swap one, two or all three services after 30 days without changing the base price, and can bolt on extra services or upgrades such as higher picture quality or sports add-ons for an additional fee.
The offer is positioned as a way to give viewers more control over an increasingly fragmented streaming market, with selection, management and payment all handled via Telenor’s Streamix portal and self-care apps. Content spans films, series, documentaries, entertainment, sport, podcasts and audiobooks, aimed at reflecting “Norwegians’ media habits”, according to Telenor.
Streamix is available to all customers, but Telenor’s own mobile subscribers receive a NOK 100 (€35) monthly discount, bringing the price down to NOK 399 for the base three-service bundle. Telenor argues the combination of a broad line-up and the ability to rotate services monthly makes Streamix a unique, streaming-only aggregation offer in the Norwegian market.
