Jordan has been ranked third in the Arab world and 29th globally in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Penetration Index, with an adoption rate of 25.4% among its working-age population, according to the Microsoft Institute for AI Economy’s “Global AI Penetration Report.”

The report highlights Jordan’s impressive adoption levels relative to its economic size, driven by strategic investments in digital transformation, technical education, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship. The country’s growing use of generative AI tools across education, media, and digital services reflects its commitment to building an agile, tech-savvy workforce capable of driving innovation across industries.
Global Context
The study, which marks the first comprehensive global analysis of AI adoption, examined where and how AI is being developed and used — as well as its impact on economies and workforces. It found that over 1.2 billion people worldwide have used AI tools within just three years. Leading countries include the United States, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, and Canada.
