As part of its ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment and youth development, talabat Kuwait welcomed 30 students from Academy X, the country’s largest women-focused tech and entrepreneurship program led by CODED Academy, to its headquarters for a day of workshops, discussions, and innovation challenges.
The initiative reflects talabat’s social responsibility strategy and its role in advancing Kuwait’s digital economy under the New Kuwait Vision 2035. The visit gave students first-hand exposure to the fast-paced technology sector, with workshops led by talabat employees across multiple departments. The day concluded with a competition where participants applied their Academy X training to solve challenges using AI, app, and web development tools.
Bader Al-Ghanim, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat Kuwait, emphasized the importance of bridging theory and practice: “This collaboration with CODED Academy stems from our belief in providing hands-on professional experiences that inspire students, guide their decisions, and equip them for careers in technology.” He also highlighted talabat’s commitment to mentorship and addressing systemic barriers facing women in STEM.
Hashim Behbehani, Co-founder and COO of CODED, praised the partnership, noting its role in linking classroom training to real-world opportunities. He announced that the third cohort of Academy X will launch in September, expanding the program’s reach and aiming to build a generation of female tech leaders.
Following strong results in 2024, the 2025 edition of Academy X has scaled up to 400 fully funded participants aged 14–18. The program delivers intensive training in leadership, entrepreneurship, AI, app and web development, and UI/UX design. With talabat’s continued sponsorship, the initiative is set to empower more young women in Kuwait, preparing them to thrive in the digital economy.
