LG Uplus secures ISO22301 certification for resilient broadcasting, IPTV services

LG Uplus's broadcasting and IPTV services have been internationally recognized for their ability to operate reliably even in disaster situations.

LG Uplus announced on the 17th that the Anyang Broadcasting Center, which oversees the broadcasting and IPTV services, has obtained the ISO22301 (BCMS) certification for business continuity management from the global certification body DNV.

ISO22301 is an international standard that evaluates whether an organization has the system in place to maintain core operations during significant incidents or disasters. It verifies the appropriateness of crisis response capabilities and recovery systems, and is considered a key indicator demonstrating the stability and reliability of communication infrastructure.

Broadcasting services are closely tied to the lives of citizens and are a critical means of quickly conveying information during emergencies. This certification proves that LG Uplus's broadcasting and IPTV services have the system in place to reliably fulfill this role.

LG Uplus has already received ISO22301 certification at major data centers, including the Pyeongchon Mega Center and Pyeongchon 2 Center, as well as at key communication hubs such as the Sangam Broadcasting Center and Daejeon Oryu Broadcasting Center. With the addition of this certification for the Anyang Broadcasting Center, the capability to provide services based on business continuity in broadcasting and communications has been further strengthened.

Jung Ha-jun, an executive in charge of wire platform operations at LG Uplus, noted, “This certification officially confirms our capability to provide stable services to customers through rapid recovery even during disaster situations.”
