TVP VOD recorded a 16% increase in the number of plays in June when compared to 2024.
The public broadcaster’s streaming service also saw an uplift in both the number of visits (+16% y/y) and views (+3% y/y). The greatest increase came within the live channel section, which compared to June 2024, recorded an increase in the number of users (+48%) and an increase in the number of plays (+78%). The broadcaster says the figures confirm the growing role of streaming in the distribution of Polish Television channels.
The most streamed channel was the TVP Info news station, ahead of TVP1 and TVP Sport. There was interest in TVP’s election coverage and the Polish national teams football match against Poland.
According to the Mediapanel survey, TVP VOD recorded a 6.25% share in the total time of using VOD and OTT streaming platforms last month and overtook such services as Player, Polsat Box, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and Canal+.
