Amazon Prime Video has picked up a package of Premier League games to be shown to Dutch subscribers.
It follows an agreement with Viaplay, which holds the rights in the Dutch market.
Prime subscribers will be able to view the Saturday lunchtime kick-off at 13:30 CET. In all the package covers 38 games per season – one per matchday – and mirrors a similar agreement made in Sweden and Denmark last year.
Viaplay’s current agreement with the Premier League runs until the 2027-28 season.
Since its financial restructuring, Viaplay has offloaded several sports rights and pulled out of the UK market altogether.
For its part, Prime Video has been selective on its sports rights acquisitions, dropping UK coverage of tennis and the Premier League.
