In a positive move to support the interim government’s efforts to reduce the cost of mobile data and voice calls, Banglalink, Bangladesh’s third-largest mobile operator, has increased the benefits on its data, voice, and bundle packs by up to 25%.
According to a statement from the operator, customers will now receive up to 20% more data, 22% more voice minutes, and 25% more value on mix bundles.
Banglalink’s CEO Johan Buse welcomed the government’s recent reform initiatives in the telecom sector, including granting mobile network operators access to dark fiber and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) infrastructure. He noted that these forward-looking measures are crucial for enhancing consumer benefits and accelerating Bangladesh’s digital transformation.
“Aligned with the government’s vision for a digital Bangladesh, we are committed to providing innovative services and greater value to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Buse. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the government and other stakeholders to drive broader digital adoption and contribute meaningfully to Bangladesh’s digital economy.”
Additionally, Banglalink is offering unlimited access to Toffee’s diverse content library, as well as other popular platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, without using data from selected packs. This move is aimed at making digital experiences more accessible to customers without any additional cost.
