Indigenous mobile wireless communication equipment provider Lekha Wireless Solutions will integrate American chipmaker Analog Devices’ (ADI) radio technology into its 5G and 4G RAN products.
Lekha’s product line serves public mobile networks and private networks in mining, railways, factory automation and industrial SCADA. Building on a long-standing technology relationship, Lekha is upgrading its product portfolio using ADI’s new Samana platform to provide O-RAN-compliant 7.2x Low PHY functionality. Samana puts the radio and digital signal-processing functions on a single chip platform that is controlled by software. This means simpler radio designs, lower power use and faster product development, as per Ramu TS, Chief Executive Officer, Lekha Wireless.
“Together, we are creating locally engineered wireless products that serve customers in India and global markets,” said Ramu TS.
“The joint effort reflects a focus on system-level design, energy-efficiency and reliable connectivity,” said Vivek Tyagi, Head of Regional Sales and Head of India, ADI.
