Samsung TV Plus adds six channels in France

Samsung TV Plus is expanding its French offering with six channels launching throughout October, including three based on programmes whose rights are managed by France tv distribution.

The additions span entertainment, news and culture, bringing Cuisine Ouverte, Le jour où tout a basculé and On n’est pas couché to the free, ad-supported service, alongside TF1’s Confessions Intimes, the French-language France 24 channel and Le Figaro TV.

Antoine Chotard, Country Lead France and MENA at Samsung TV Plus EMEA, said the expansion brings recognisable content from established French broadcasters and media brands to the platform.

“PSB partnerships like these are what allow Samsung TV Plus to appeal to local audiences, whilst remaining completely subscription-free,” he said.

The new channels build on existing French partnerships, including Arte’s Invitation au Voyage, INA’s Ardivision and TV5 Monde Info.

The France tv distribution partnership includes chef Mory Sacko’s cooking programme Cuisine Ouverte, docudrama series Le jour où tout a basculé and Laurent Ruquier’s late-night talk show On n’est pas couché.

TF1’s Confessions Intimes offers more than 300 episodes of the relationship documentary series. France 24 provides live international news, programmes and investigative reports, while Le Figaro TV covers culture, arts, history, lifestyle and heritage, alongside debate and analysis.
