Maxis showcased its Mission-Critical Communications (MCC) solution at Cyber Digital Services, Defence & Security Asia (CyberDSA) 2026, making Maxis the first telco in Malaysia to provide voice, live video, and data with network priority over its nationwide mobile network.
At CyberDSA 2026 powered by Maxis Business, the solution was showcased to officials from the Ministry of Digital, the Ministry of Defence, the armed forces, and various security and enforcement agencies. Available through Maxis Business, it connects frontline personnel and first responders directly to central command centres, giving teams a dedicated communications link built for demanding field environments.
The showcase was held under Maxis Business’ exhibition theme, ‘Building Digital Infrastructure for the AI World’. In an industry address at the event, Maxis Business highlighted that artificial intelligence is only as powerful and secure as the infrastructure supporting it, emphasising that digital sovereignty requires maintaining control over the critical dependencies that ensure uninterrupted operations.
During emergency incidents and natural disasters, commercial networks can experience congestion. The solution addresses this by providing network priority, helping mission-critical voice, video, and data remain connected during peak surges.
Moving beyond voice-only radios, it links field units and command centres to establish a shared operational picture. Teams can combine instant push-to-talk communications with live video and sensor feeds, supporting operational readiness across public safety and essential industries.
This showcase builds on Maxis Business’ track record of showcasing secure and resilient solutions at CyberDSA, following its introduction of Quantum Safe Networking last year. Anchored in its belief in Building Tomorrow’s Business Today, Maxis Business reinforces its role in powering critical digital infrastructure, delivering secure and scalable connectivity to support data centres, key sectors, and Malaysian businesses.
