SkyShowtime has expanded its smart TV distribution through a partnership with independent connected TV platform Titan OS.
The streaming service is now available on Titan OS-powered Philips and Sharp televisions across 22 European markets, including Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and the Nordic countries.
The agreement gives SkyShowtime another route onto the smart TV home screen as it broadens device availability across its European footprint.
SkyShowtime, the joint venture between Comcast and Paramount, offers programming from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, Showtime, Sky Studios and Peacock, alongside locally commissioned SkyShowtime Originals.
Its catalogue includes Yellowstone, Tulsa King, MobLand and Landman, together with children’s franchises including PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants.
“Bringing SkyShowtime to the Titan OS ecosystem is an important milestone in our mission to deliver the best European and international entertainment directly to viewers,” said Jacinto Roca, founder and CEO of Titan OS.
Hristina Georgieva, Chief Business Officer at SkyShowtime, said the agreement was part of the streamer’s strategy of making its service available to audiences across a wider range of platforms.
Barcelona-based Titan OS operates an independent smart TV operating system used by manufacturers including Philips and Sharp. It combines streaming services and linear channels with content discovery and advertising services.
SkyShowtime launched across its full European footprint during 2023 and is also distributed through LG and Samsung smart TVs, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and a number of local television providers. It is available through Prime Video Channels in selected markets.
