SCT and GIS HUB join forces on AI-driven satellite imagery solutions in Oman

Space Communications Technologies SPC (SCT) and GIS HUB LLC have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at accelerating innovation and digital transformation across Oman’s satellite imagery and geospatial technology sector.

The agreement brings together the infrastructure, capabilities and technical expertise of the two Omani companies to develop integrated geospatial solutions for public and private sector customers in Oman and across the region.

Under the partnership, GIS HUB will gain access to SCT’s international network of partners and satellite imagery providers. SCT operates as an authorised agent and distributor of high-resolution satellite imagery sourced from leading global Earth observation and remote sensing companies.

GIS HUB will complement this access with its expertise in satellite imagery analysis, remote sensing, artificial intelligence and geospatial technologies. The company will process and analyse satellite data to generate actionable intelligence, analytical reports and insights designed to support decision-making across a range of industries.

The agreement will also see the companies collaborate on commercial projects and opportunities involving satellite imagery and geospatial services. GIS HUB is expected to play a key role in delivering space-based applications and advanced geospatial analytics, strengthening its position as an Omani provider of satellite imagery and space-enabled solutions.

The partnership will target several sectors where satellite data and geospatial intelligence can support planning, monitoring and resource management. These include urban development, infrastructure, oil and gas, agriculture, environmental monitoring and natural resource management.

The companies said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to supporting Oman’s digital transformation and long-term technology development.

By combining SCT’s satellite communications infrastructure and international partnerships with GIS HUB’s artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, the two companies aim to offer customers more flexible ways to access geospatial services.

The proposed solutions will include both project-based services and longer-term subscription models. These could provide access to historical satellite imagery archives, continuous monitoring capabilities and near-real-time environmental intelligence, allowing customers to track changes and support operational and strategic decisions.

The partnership is expected to expand the availability of advanced satellite imagery and geospatial intelligence in Oman while creating opportunities to apply space-based technologies to a broader range of commercial and public-sector requirements.
