Zain Group earns inaugural MEIRA Gold Standard Certification for Investor Relations excellence

Zain Group, a leading regional TechCo, has earned the 2026 MEIRA Gold Standard Certification, a new recognition introduced by the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) to benchmark excellence in investor relations across the MENA region.

Introduced in 2026, the MEIRA Gold Standard Certification assesses the maturity and effectiveness of corporate investor relations programs and their alignment with international best practice. This year’s assessment covered companies’ investor relations activities between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

The certification follows an independent assessment of Zain’s investor relations practices in Kuwait where it is headquartered as well as its listed operations in KSA, Iraq and Bahrain, that include professional standards covering transparency, disclosure and capital markets communication, that reflected the Group’s focus on maintaining high standards of corporate governance and investor engagement.

The Group’s approach is supported by an established governance framework, including Zain’s Investor Relations Policy, Shareholders’ Protection Policy and Disclosure Policy, which institutionalize its commitment to transparency, disciplined market communication, fair and timely disclosure, and the protection of shareholder interests. These frameworks complement Zain’s broader efforts to align its investor relations practices with international best practice.

For Zain, the recognition reinforces the importance it places on clear, consistent and timely communication with shareholders, investors, analysts and the wider financial community. As investor expectations continue to evolve, the Group sees strong investor relations as an important part of building market confidence, supporting informed investment decisions and creating sustainable long-term value.

Zain’s approach to investor relations has evolved alongside the Group’s business and the changing expectations of global capital markets. In recent years, Zain has strengthened its digital investor communications, expanded direct engagement with investors, increased its participation in international investment conferences, and continued to enhance the quality and clarity of its financial reporting and results presentations.

The Group has also introduced a dedicated Investor Relations app, giving investors convenient, on-the-go access to disclosures, share price information, financial results, press releases, financial news and other key market updates.

These efforts are designed to give the market a clear view of the Group’s financial and operational performance, strategic priorities and long-term growth prospects, while ensuring investors have timely and equitable access to relevant information. Reinforcing investor confidence in Zain’s long-term value creation agenda has strengthened relationships with the investment community and contributed meaningfully to Zain’s shareholder base.

The recognition also reflects the continued support of Zain’s Board of Directors and executive management for the strategic role of investor relations, as well as the work of the Group’s Investor Relations team and its close coordination with functions across the organization.

Zain has built an active dialogue with regional and international investors as its business has expanded beyond traditional telecommunications into technology, digital infrastructure and digital financial services. This evolution has made transparent and effective market communication increasingly important in helping investors understand the Group’s performance, strategy and future direction.

In line with this, Zain continues to strengthen the link between business performance and investor communication, with a focus on providing high-quality information that gives investors a clear understanding of the Group’s strategy, priorities and outlook.

The MEIRA recognition also reflects a wider corporate culture at Zain built around transparency, accountability and responsible business practices. The Group views effective investor communication not simply as a regulatory requirement, but as an important contributor to sustainable growth, shareholder value and long-term access to capital.

Founded in 2008, the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) is an independent organization serving investor relations, financial communications and capital markets professionals. It works with stock exchanges, regulators and market participants across the region to promote international best practices in investor relations and strengthen engagement between listed companies and the investment community.
