UAE-based healthcare group M42 plans to deploy Oracle Health Data Intelligence across its network to bring clinical, genomic and real-world data into a unified environment, with diabetes programmes set to become the first area of implementation.
The initiative expands M42's existing collaboration with Oracle Health and is intended to support chronic disease management, population health analytics, medical research and more personalised care.
Oracle Health Data Intelligence will be integrated with Oracle Health Foundation EHR, giving clinicians and researchers access to a broader set of patient information while supporting M42's longer-term goal of creating comprehensive longitudinal patient records across its network.
Clinical, genomic and real-world data brought together
The deployment is designed to address one of the major challenges facing increasingly data-intensive healthcare systems: information distributed across different clinical, genomic and operational environments.
M42 plans to centralise these datasets within a secure and scalable platform where they can be analysed and used across clinical and research workflows.
For clinicians, the objective is to make relevant information and actionable insights available at the point of care, providing a more complete view of a patient's health history.
For researchers and population health teams, combining larger datasets could make it easier to identify disease patterns, correlations and risk factors that may be difficult to detect through conventional analysis.
M42 said the environment will operate under data, digital and AI governance principles intended to support security, responsible data use and regulatory compliance.
Diabetes programmes will be first deployment
M42 plans to initially deploy Oracle Health Data Intelligence within its diabetes programmes.
The platform will be used to support proactive patient engagement and optimise care for people living with chronic conditions.
Bringing together longitudinal clinical information and analytical capabilities could help care teams identify patients requiring additional intervention and support more personalised approaches to disease management.
The companies did not disclose the implementation timetable, number of patients expected to be covered during the initial deployment or specific performance targets for the diabetes programme.
The announcement therefore represents a planned deployment, with clinical and operational outcomes still to be demonstrated.
AI to support population health analytics
The platform will also provide advanced analytics and AI capabilities across M42's datasets.
M42 expects these tools to help researchers explore large volumes of healthcare information more efficiently and identify emerging health trends, disease risks and potential treatment opportunities.
This could be particularly relevant for population health programmes, where identifying patterns across large patient cohorts can support earlier intervention and resource planning.

Collaboration builds on Emirati Genome Programme integration
The latest initiative extends a strategic collaboration between M42 and Oracle Health announced last year around the development of unified longitudinal patient records across the UAE healthcare ecosystem.
As part of that work, data from the Emirati Genome Programme has already been integrated into the electronic health record environment.
The integration makes pharmacogenomic information available to clinicians, providing genetic information that can help inform more personalised treatment pathways.
The new Oracle Health Data Intelligence deployment is intended to build on that foundation by connecting a wider range of clinical, genomic and real-world information.

Longitudinal records target more connected care
