CH Media brings eight national free-to-air channels under 3+ brand

CH Media is bringing its eight national free-to-air channels together under the 3+ brand as part of a major rebranding of the Swiss media company’s television portfolio.

The broadcaster will retain 3+ as the name of its main channel, while the existing 4+, 5+, 6+, 7+/Nickelodeon, TV24, TV25 and S1 channels will be renamed 3+ Movies, 3+ Series, 3+ Crime, 3+ Family, 3+ Adrenalin, 3+ Emotion and 3+ Focus respectively.

The transition will take place between 31 August and 17 September 2026. The existing programming will remain available, but CH Media is reorganising the channels around clearer editorial profiles designed to reflect different viewing interests and moods.

The company describes the strategy as ‘variety in unity’, with a common 3+ visual identity linking the eight services. A redesigned 3+ cube, shared typography and a consistent layout will be combined with individual colours, shapes and animations for each channel.

“Under the 3+ brand, we are bringing together our different entertainment worlds under one roof – from National League and Swiss wrestling to reality TV, blockbusters, cult series and the Street Parade,” said Michael Wanner, CEO of CH Media.

According to Malte Probst, Head of National TV, the aim was to make the broadcaster’s growing portfolio easier to navigate without reducing its range of content. The company intends the channels to be available across traditional free-to-air television, its oneplus streaming service and digital platforms.

The rebranding positions 3+ as a broader Swiss entertainment brand rather than simply the name of one television channel. It will also be used across social media, YouTube and oneplus, CH Media’s streaming platform.

oneplus combines content from CH Media’s 3+ entertainment portfolio with programming from RTL+ and Paramount+ in a single app and subscription. The streaming service will also receive an updated visual identity to strengthen the link between CH Media’s linear and streaming offerings.

A new website for the 3+ channel family has launched, providing information on all eight channels, 3+ Originals and current programming. Existing and new logos are being displayed in parallel during the transition period.

The original 3+ channel launched on 31 August 2006, initially focusing on Hollywood films and US series before developing a distinctive line-up of Swiss-produced entertainment.

The eight-channel portfolio will now cover originals, films, series, sport, documentaries, factual programming, crime, lifestyle and family entertainment. The main 3+ channel will remain focused on originals, shows, reality formats, selected sporting events and programmes with an event character.
