SPORTEUROPE.TV relaunches platform with redesigned live sports streaming experience

SPORTEUROPE.TV has relaunched its website with a redesigned interface, simplified navigation and an expanded livestream overview as part of a broader overhaul of its European sports streaming platform.

The relaunch is intended to make live events easier to discover across sports, competitions and individual broadcasts, while creating a common technical and visual foundation for the company’s mobile apps and smart TV services.

SPORTEUROPE.TV said the updated platform will also support new commercial models for sports federations, leagues and rights holders.

Livestream discovery becomes a central focus

The revamped website introduces a broader livestream section with filtering tools designed to help users locate specific events more quickly.

That reflects a common challenge in sports streaming, where platforms can carry large volumes of live content but still struggle with discoverability.

SPORTEUROPE.TV currently offers coverage across more than 70 sports, spanning grassroots and youth competitions through to major international events.

Its portfolio includes the US Open, European Volleyball Championships and ice hockey competitions such as the DEL, DEL2, Champions Hockey League and ICE Hockey League.

Apps and smart TV experience to follow

The website relaunch is only the first phase.

SPORTEUROPE.TV plans to roll out the same design language and user experience across its existing mobile applications and smart TV offering.

The company said the objective is to create a more consistent experience regardless of device, reducing the differences between web, app and connected TV access.

Tim Schnabel, COO of SPORTEUROPE.TV, described the relaunch as the starting point for the next generation of the platform rather than simply a visual redesign.

Platform targets rights holders as well as viewers

The company is also positioning the new platform as infrastructure for leagues, sports federations and individual sports.

Beyond consumer streaming, SPORTEUROPE.TV wants to give rights holders a digital home where they can distribute content, build audiences and create new commercial opportunities.

The relaunch is expected to support new forms of digital marketing and monetisation intended to help partners generate more value from sports rights.

That is particularly relevant for competitions that may not receive extensive coverage from traditional broadcasters.

Flexible access models remain part of the proposition

SPORTEUROPE.TV is not relying only on conventional subscription packages.

The service also offers pay-per-view options and individual event tickets, allowing users to access selected sporting events without committing to a recurring subscription.

That gives the platform more flexibility in serving niche sports audiences and occasional viewers.

It can also help rights holders monetise events that may not justify inclusion in a larger long-term subscription bundle.

DACH remains the core market

The platform is initially focused on the German-speaking DACH markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

At the same time, SPORTEUROPE.TV is seeking to expand its international presence.

Its content strategy combines high-profile events with a wider range of specialist and lower-profile sports, giving the platform a broader portfolio than services built around only a small number of premium rights.
