Connected TV technology company Hoppr is deploying its HopprTV+ software on TIMVision devices in Italy.
The phased rollout is intended to provide viewing data that can be used for content personalisation, audience engagement and advertising products. Italian systems integrator Communication Video Engineering is handling integration with the TIMVision environment.
Hoppr said its technology would analyse viewing behaviour to produce audience intelligence, although it did not provide details of the data collected or the advertising formats planned.
“Our initiative in Italy demonstrates how a deeper understanding of viewing behaviour can create better audience experiences and new opportunities for growth,” said George Gelavis, executive chairman of Hoppr.
TIMVision aggregates TIM’s television offer with third-party streaming services including Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video, DAZN, Infinity+, Paramount+ and Apple TV.
CVE chief executive Luca Catalano said the company was combining Hoppr’s technology with its systems integration experience to support the implementation.
Hoppr develops connected television software for audience measurement, content discovery and advertising monetisation.
