Media registration open for ITU’s World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum 2026

Media accreditation is open for the World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum 2026 (WTPF-26), organized by ITU, the UN agency for digital technologies, from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Nassau, The Bahamas. A Strategic Dialogue on 1 September 2026, will precede WTPF-26 at the same venue.

Hosted by the Government of The Bahamas, WTPF-26 will bring together governments, industry, academia, civil society and the technical community to exchange views and build consensus on challenges and opportunities related to new and emerging technologies and services, with focused conversations on connectivity, sustainability, resilience, space and innovation.

Opinions from the forum on key information and communication technology (ICT) issues will help lay the groundwork for future-shaping decisions at ITU's forthcoming Plenipotentiary Conference.

All journalists are required to register in advance. A single, ITU-issued media accreditation will be valid for both WTPF-26 and the Strategic Dialogue. Media accreditation requests can be submitted here.

Accredited journalists will have access to conference sessions, including:

  • Strategic Dialogue: Tuesday, 1 September
    • Morning session
    • Afternoon event hosted by ITU Gender and Youth Office
  • Opening Ceremony and Inaugural Plenary: Wednesday, 2 September
  • Working Group Sessions: Wednesday, 2 September – Friday, 4 September
  • Closing Session: Friday, 4 September

An opening press conference for reporters in attendance is being planned for Wednesday, 2 September. Additional programme information is available on the event website.

Media accreditation to WTPF-26 is open to working members of the media with reporting responsibilities. Please review ITU guidelines before submitting an accreditation request.
